Here is one nifty service that can dig up useful information about a website, a domain or an IP address and it doesn’t cost a dime.
A service aptly named CentralOps.net offers a collection of free online network utilities. It can yield useful insights in no time flat.
To investigate a domain or an IP address, head straight to this page:
https://centralops.net/co/DomainDossier.aspx
The service can currently check the domain whois record, the network whois record (they are not the same thing, mind you!), for instance. It can also obtain DNS records for a domain, run traceroute and perform a service scan. Nice.
